Taking care of your batteries in cold weather
Winter is coming and along with it a few challenges for cordless power tools. This is a short guide to things we need to do as the temperature drops…

Leaving batteries outside
Batteries do not enjoy cold weather. Do not leave your batteries outside or in a vehicle overnight. Take them inside and keep them at room temperature in a nice, dry environment.

Tips for getting started
In really cold weather a battery may have trouble to get started. Try warming up the battery, either by inserting the pack into a tool and carrying out a small application or putting the battery on charge for a short period of time. Once the battery has warmed up it will be easier to tackle tougher applications.
