DEWALT announces the launch of XLR™ SDS Plus drill bits. The new range is designed for mechanical contractors, electricians, plumbers, concrete forming, mechanical repair & overhaul, glaziers and general contractors for drilling fixing holes in hard concrete, reinforced concrete, hard natural stone, block and pan decking. Designed and manufactured in Germany, DEWALT XLR™ Full head Carbide drill bits are made utilising an advanced, 2 stage bonding system to affix a solid carbide tip to the flute. Providing significantly increased durability and longer bit life in the toughest applications, DEWALT XLR™ Full Head Carbide drill bits bring the end user more reliability, longer life and less down time during application

Ranging from 5mm to 12mm in diameter, the DEWALT XLR™ SDS Plus drill bits have 2 X more carbide than our current 2 cutter SDS drill bits and a unique tip geometry (patent pending) which, having more carbide in the wear area helps increase drill bit life & durability vs. standard design two cutter SDS bits. The XLR™ SDS Plus drill bits are also designed with a four flute spiral design. The four separate channels provide optimum debris removal for fast drilling without compromising on flute durability.
