1. This Competition is open to people aged 18 or over who provide the information set out in the entry form. Illegible or incomplete entries will not be included within the draw. Entries should be left with a DEWALT representative. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
2. Only one entry per person. Employees or agents of any company within the Black and Decker group of companies and/or anyone connected with this promotion may not enter. Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. The promoter is Black & Decker (”Promoter”), a company registered in England under number 291547, whose registered office is at 210 Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 3YD.
4. The Promoter will use the information submitted by entrants in accordance with its privacy policy accessible at www.dewalt.co.uk. Participants may withdraw their consent to the retention of such data at any time by declaring such withdrawal to the Promoter.5. The challenge will run from April 1st 2008 until 31st December 2008. Individual competitions will take place at a time as advertised by Black and Decker, please consult www.dewalt.co.uk for details. To complete the Challenge, each participant will be timed to determine how fast the participant can drive five (5) 32mm drywall screws into a wood board using a DEWALT cordless drill/driver (a ”Drill”). At each Challenge event, DEWALT will provide a contest workstation and all contest materials. Participants must use the materials and contest workstations provided by DEWALT. Participants will not be allowed to bring their own Drill or other materials (including, but not limited to, screw driver bits, gloves, etc).
In order for a participant to record a ”Valid Time”, the participant must: (1) start the timer using the same hand that the participant intends to use to hold the Drill; (2) grab the Drill using the same hand that the participant used to start the timer; (3) grab screws; (4) drive five screws flush into the wood board (the screws are deemed flush if a DEWALT representative can pass a straight edge over all five screws without the straight edge catching on any of the screws); (5) Replace the drill in the drill holder and; (6) stop the timer using the same hand they were holding the drill with. Participants may not touch the screws prior to starting the timer. Only Valid Times will count during the Challenge Period. Each participant will be given one (1) opportunity to record a Valid Time.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. The winner agrees, by participating in this Competition, to participate in reasonable publicity, including photo shoots and agree to use of their name, voice photographs, and other pictures for such reasonable publicity purposes without additional consideration.
6. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes all liability whatsoever to entrants and winners in relation to this Competition and the prizes to be awarded, including liability for death, physical injury, monetary loss or damage and loss of opportunity.
7. This Competition is governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law.
